Introduction of Forum

The World Peace Forum is a global forum that represents Busan, Here in, experts from various fields share their visions and seek cooperation under the theme of global issues facing humanity based on the implementation of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), which are key values pursued by the United Nations.

Cities around the world are facing a range crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, hegemonic competition of the great powers, climate change, aging, job shortages, etc. response to these these changes, Busan Metropolitan City has been seeking new paradigms in urban policies to lead the future as a megacity.

Accordingly, since 2020, the Busan Metropolitan City and our foundation have been hosting the World Peace Forum experts from various fields, with diverse topics facing mankind, such as climate change and environmental issues come together.

Now in its 4th year, The journey continues with the theme: ‘Togetherness future, Sustainable future’ rooted in the implementation of the UN’s key values, the SDGs.
“Marking the development of the UN’s sustainable development goals and a pivotal moment for global collaboration in response to climate change, 2030 is a spcecial year. We will discuss and debate about the collective efforts and collaboration of the international community to effectively accomplih these goals. Concurently, we will celebrate the meaningful translation of Busan , as it looks forward to hosting the World Expo in 2030 by reevaluating Busan’s role in promoting a better future, peace, and coexistence.
